ARMY OF ANYONE Might Play FILTER And STONE TEMPLE PILOTS Songs

Launch Radio Networks reports: ARMY OF ANYONE, featuring FILTER frontman Richard Patrick and former STONE TEMPLE PILOTS guitarist Dean DeLeo and bassist Robert DeLeo, plans to hit the road as soon as possible. In addition to material from the group's upcoming debut album, Patrick told Launch that the group hopes to play songs from its members' back catalogs as well. "We're gonna figure that out in rehearsals," he said. "Rehearsals start next week and I think everyone wants to do FILTER stuff. I definitely want to do STONE TEMPLE PILOTS stuff, you know. But we've got to figure out — I'm a tenor, Scott's (Weiland, former STP singer) a baritone, there's issues with tuning and stuff like that, so I mean, yeah, I would love to do it."

ARMY OF ANYONE's self-titled debut effort will come out on November 14. The first single is called "Goodbye" (mp3).

ARMY OF ANYONE is rounded out by ex-DAVID LEE ROTH drummer Ray Luzier.

The group's album is coming out through Firm Music, a new label launched by its management company The Firm. The deal makes the band and label equal partners in the record's profits, as opposed to traditional contracts that are slanted heavily in the label's favor.
